Shaman Red Deer’s Thunder
The Cherokee Blackfeet Cultural Circle Federation of New York City and the Tri- State Area under the Principle Guidance and leadership of Renowned Shaman Red Deer has been active for seven years! At this junction on behalf of the Cherokee Blackfeet Cultural Circle Federation due to the official leadership of Shaman Ceremony Red Deer’s work, I will give you in this letter a Profile Synopsis of the activities of the Cherokee Blackfeet Cultural Circle Federation.
Within a seven-year duration, Shaman Red Deer worked persistently in putting on annual powwows. The projection for this year’s powwow is in the planning stage for 2005.
Under the renowned guidance and leadership of Shaman Red Deer, the country’s first Native American Heritage Day Parade was held in New York City on Madison Avenue, starting from 41 Street and ending at 26 Street and Madison Avenue. The first indigenous Native Indian Parade in the history of the United States of America — of it’s kind — made history that day! The Black Cowboys of New York City participated in the Native Americans first Heritage Day Parade that took place on October 9, 1999.
The Cherokee Blackfeet Cultural Circle of New York City has been represented by Renowned Shaman Red Deer on the Gil Noble Show, Like It Is on channel 7.
Renowned Shaman Red Deer has also appeared on the cable television show Community Round Table, channel 34.
The Cherokee Blackfeet Cultural Circle is dedicated to educating our youth, enriching the lives of our adults, and fostering economic development among our people.
Under the renowned leadership of Shaman Red Deer the Cherokee Blackfeet Cultural Circle is recognized in Berlin, Germany by the indigenous Baltic People of Prussia and the indigenous Indians of Canada
The Cherokee Blackfeet Cultural Circle recognizes the blood ties of African Americans with indigenous Native Indians from day one of their enslavement of their fore-parents, by Europeans on Indian soil. Due to many Africans escaping from plantations into Indian territory, being accepted into Indian life, 80% of African Americans have Indian blood in their veins today!
Being an indigenous non-reservation native, a few of us among thousands throughout the New York City Tri-State area of Cherokee/Blackfeet Indian Ancestry of North America established the Cherokee/Blackfeet Cultural Circle Federation here in New York Tri-State area. It was formulated in 1995 and has been in operation since 1997, with a very promising and ceaseless future.
We the Cherokee/Blackfeet Cultural Circle have been persistent with putting on annual powwows since our conception. One of the Cherokee/Blackfeet Cultural Circle Federations Grand Achievements was our accomplishment of putting on the first Cherokee/Blackfeet Cultural Circle Federation Grand Parade of Indigenous Natives of 1999. That was demonstrated in New York City on the world’s famous locations, Madison Ave in midtown Manhattan.
Another grand achievement and accomplishment of the Cherokee/Blackfeet Cultural Circle Federation which occurred in 2001 was the hosting of the Gala Event of the Indigenous Native Indian Art Festival.
The Cherokee/Blackfeet Cultural Federation is now working towards our Eighth Annual Pow-Wow of the 21st century.
